The Sport of Indoor Skydiving

The invention of modern wind tunnels has given skydivers a consistent and practical way to develop and hone skills that usually require jumping from a plane. Additionally, the increase in availability of wind tunnels has created a whole new genre of sport – bodyflight. It is one of the most exciting and fastest growing sports in the world.

If you have an interest in pursuing bodyflight as a sport, our instructors can design a training program to help you progress in your flying skills. iFLY also offers opportunities to get involved in local flight training nights that allow you to meet other participants and build your skills. Ultimately, you can compete in one of our local competitions that may include freestyle and formation flying. To find out more about the world of bodyflight including news, competitions and flying technique videos, visit the International Bodyflight Association (IBA) website.

Advancing Your Flight Skills

The more you fly, the better you will become. And when you purchase coaching with dedicated iFLY instructors, they help you progress faster, teach you new techniques and give you in-flight challenges to complete. Every coaching session comes with a pre-flight gameplan and post-flight debrief to review your progress with the instructor and to chart a course of action for taking your skills to the next level. Ask an instructor how you can take up bodyflight as a competitive sport.

At Flight School, kids can fly like a superhero. This popular program is a great way for kids ages 4-16 to learn how fly. Each Flight School flyer gets 1-on-1 coaching from a world-class flight instructor in a fun group setting.Kids learn fun flying skills at Flight School, plus they’ll build long-lasting friendships with fellow flyers in a positive, encouraging group setting.
