The domestication of fire is perhaps one of the most important cultural breakthroughs for early man. Join a ranger to learn a bit about the history of fire and how to create fire as our ancestors once did; through primitive methods including the bow-drill and flint and steel. 

Meet: Lost Pines Amphitheater

Note: This program is weather dependent. All park programs are free and open to the public with paid entrance fee ($7 per adult ages 13 and up, children12 and under are always free!). No need to register, just show up.
