During the Great Backyard Bird Count, participants will enjoy a variety of engaging and educational activities designed to enhance their birdwatching skills and knowledge. Our knowledgeable naturalists will lead guided hikes through River Legacy Park, where you'll have the opportunity to observe and identify a diverse array of bird species in their natural habitats. These hikes are perfect for both novice birdwatchers and experienced ornithologists looking to deepen their understanding of local avian life.
Participants will also have the chance to take part in the official bird count, recording the species and number of birds they observe. This data is crucial for scientific research and conservation efforts, as it helps track bird populations and migration patterns across the globe.
