The Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council invite you to attend the annual Girls Exploring Math and Science (GEMS) event. We will be going virtual for 2021! This year’s event will take place over the course of 2 nights on February 26th and 27th as we dive into STEM careers with the NEW Girl Scouts STEM Career Explorations badges for Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. GEMS is open to anyone regardless of their involvement in a scouting program.
In this interactive experience, participants will examine their strengths and skills and participate in interactive STEM challenges to discover what excites them about science, technology, engineering and math. Then, we will have a STEM Career panel with local professionals where participants can learn more about these careers and how these professionals got to where they are today! To close out our GEMS event, we will have a live chemistry demonstration from one of our very own female scientists. Join us for GEMS Virtual Weekend, and discover what excites you!
