Chemistry Week | Kids Out and About Midcities

Chemistry Week

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 10/26/2024
Celebrate National Chemistry Week by learning about the chemistry of photography and imaging. This year’s Chemistry Week theme is “Picture Perfect Chemistry!” Chemistry plays a crucial role in photography and imaging. In traditional photography, photosensitivity and light reactions are key. The process begins with photon absorption in the camera and continues with chemical development. Modern imaging techniques, like those used in medicine and space exploration, employ various forms of light, sound waves, and electron streams to create images invisible to the naked eye.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
