Introducing the You Are Not Forgotten event, a unique commemoration of National POW/MIA Recognition Day in September. This day stands as a testament to our unwavering dedication to the families of captured service members and missing war heroes, emphasizing the significance of POW (prisoner of war) and MIA (missing in action) individuals.
Prepare to take part in the You Are Not Forgotten race, offering a choice of distances – 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, or 26.2 – each carrying profound meaning.
As champions of this cause, we are resolute in allocating a substantial 25% of every registration to Rolling Thunder. Their mission, carried by volunteers who deeply believe in the POW/MIA issue, is to educate the public about American prisoners of war left behind after previous conflicts. Their commitment extends to safeguarding the future of veterans, ensuring they are not forgotten if they ever become Prisoners Of War-Missing In Action. Rolling Thunder® Inc., a non-profit organization, embodies the spirit of service and dedication.
The beauty of this race lies in its flexibility. Throughout the entire month of September, you have the freedom to conquer your chosen distance at your own pace and convenience. Embracing the principle of inclusivity, participants of all ages are wholeheartedly invited to join and demonstrate their support for this vital cause.
In recognition of your achievement and meaningful contribution, every participant will receive a striking 3-inch sticker and a bib – symbols of your involvement and dedication. Your registration fee of $8 encompasses the cost of these cherished tokens and bolsters our charitable mission. Anticipate the shipment of stickers and bibs by the end of August, enabling you to proudly showcase your accomplishment with honor and pride.
