The Arlington Museum of Art is dedicated to champion creativity and to provide access to art for the cultural enrichment and economic development of our community. Our Summer Art Camp is a total immersion in the life of a busy museum. After getting inspired by an age-appropriate tour of our summer exhibition, campers roll up their sleeves every day of our half-day, week-long camp. Professional art educators from Arlington ISD teach campers about the skills and techniques they see in our galleries. By the end of the week, campers will have their very own portfolio (just like a professional artist!) that they get to take home.

The Arlington Museum of Art presents internationally-renowned collections and exhibits that attract visitors from all over the world. Because the organization does not have a complete permanent collection, the museum can utilize its entire venue creatively throughout the year for loaned collections, curated exhibits, and all kinds of related activities including exhibit-specific lectures, classes, educational workshops, and diverse cultural programs. Annual children’s programs—such as Youth Art Month and Summer Art Camp—reflect the organization’s long-standing partnership with local schools as well as its commitment to nurturing life-long art lovers and the next generation of creatives.
